FAQs
What does a T-JTA Certified Instructor do? Certified Instructors teach new practitioners how to use the T-JTA and guide them through the full certification process. This includes preparing participants, hosting trainings, managing Training Kits, and coordinating trainee exam schedules with PPI.
How do I start the application process? You will complete the official Instructor Application Form and pay a one time application fee of $25. This begins the review process for approval.
What happens after I submit my application? Once your application is reviewed and approved, you will receive the T-JTA Certified Instructor Agreement for signature, along with instructions for completing your exam purchase. Once both steps are complete, your study materials and exam access follow within 1 to 2 business days.
Is there an exam to become a Certified Instructor? Yes, there are two. Every T-JTA Certified Instructor is also a T-JTA Certified Practitioner, so certification includes both credentials and their two exams. The Practitioner Certification Exam contains 100 questions, with a score of 90% to pass and three attempts included. The Instructor Certification Exam contains 50 questions, with a score of 95% to pass and five attempts included. Both are taken online, and we recommend completing the Practitioner Exam first. If you are already a T-JTA Certified Practitioner, your credential carries forward and only the Instructor Exam remains. What support materials do Instructors receive? You will receive the official PowerPoint and ongoing support from PPI for questions about the process. Instructors have flexibility to add their own teaching style and amendments to the material once approved.
What happens if I do not pass the exam? Each exam includes multiple attempts: three for the Practitioner Exam and five for the Instructor Exam. If you use all attempts on an exam without passing, you will be eligible to reattempt that exam after six months.
Will I receive help promoting my trainings? Yes. PPI can list your trainings and provide guidance on best practices. You are also encouraged to promote your events locally or within your professional community.
